Don Ross & Julie Malía

Don Ross and Julie Malía, both well-established solo guitarists, formed a musical partnership in 2023, and have since performed together across North America and Europe. Ross was born and raised in Montreal to a Mi’kmaw Indigenous mother and a Scottish immigrant father. He has won the US National Fingerpick Guitar Championship and the Canadian Arts Council’s Walter Carsen Prize for Excellence, and released 16 acclaimed solo albums. Malía was born in Swabia in southern Germany and is one of the most sought-after acoustic guitarists on the European scene. Her recent album Seagull , featuring her original songs, was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Prize.
