I Promised The World w/ A Static Lullaby

JUL 17 6:30 p.m. Great American Music Hall

About this event

Hailing from Southern California, A Static Lullaby emerged in the early 2000s as a fearless force within the post-hardcore explosion—fusing visceral aggression with soaring melody and poetic vulnerability. Their 2003 debut, ...And Don’t Forget to Breathe (Ferret Music), became an underground staple that helped define a generation of emotionally charged heavy music. With its chaotic energy, melodic hooks, and unfiltered lyricism, the album set the band apart and built the foundation for a loyal global fanbase. Their momentum continued with 2006’s Self-Titled album, their first release with Fearless Records, which captured the band at a pivotal moment—more focused, more dynamic, and unafraid to evolve. The record refined their sound while keeping their signature sound intact. That evolution reached a fever pitch in 2008 with Rattlesnake, an uncompromising, heavy-hitting release that leaned harder into chaos, technicality, and raw power and the acclaimed remake of Britney Spears’ “Toxic”—cementing their status as one of the scene’s most respected acts. Over the years, A Static Lullaby toured extensively across the U.S. and internationally, sharing stages with everyone from AFI and My Chemical Romance to Underoath and The Used. Known for their explosive live shows, dual-vocal attack, and unmatched intensity, the band helped shape the modern blueprint for post-hardcore and screamo. After a lengthy hiatus, Joe Brown (vocals), Dan Arnold (rhythm guitar, vocals), Nick Jones (lead guitar, backing vocals), Kyler Gillman (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Kris Comeaux (drums, percussion) reunited in August 2025 for a sold-out show at The Observatory in Orange County. What was intended as a one-off reunion quickly turned into a full-scale return—reigniting the passion of longtime fans and welcoming a new wave of listeners discovering the band’s legacy. Looking ahead to 2026, A Static Lullaby will continue performing select shows, including full-album playthroughs of their landm
