Los Mirlos The Peruvian group Los Mirlos is considered one of the pioneers of psychedelic Amazonian cumbia. Founded in the early 1970s in Moyobamba (San Martín) by Jorge Rodríguez Grández, the band developed a distinctive style that fuses psychedelic-influenced electric guitars with sounds inspired by the Peruvian Amazon. With more than five decades of experience, Los Mirlos have become a benchmark for tropical music in Peru, bringing their characteristic “Amazonian sound” to national and international stages.
