Acclaimed pioneers of the late 90’s Pop-Punk and Geek Rock movements, Nerf Herder formed in Santa Barbara, California in 1994. Originally released on Joey Cape’s punk label My Records, Nerf Herder’s debut album bedazzled Modern Rock charts with their celebrated hit, “Van Halen”. During this period, the band was asked to write the theme song for legendary TV show, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. A major label signing with Arista Records came next, followed by national tours with Weezer, Bloodhound Gang and others. The band went on to release a number of albums on various labels, including Fat Wreck Chords, Oglio Records, and Nerf Herder’s own, Golfshirt Records. In honor of its 30th anniversary, a new acoustic version of the debut album has been recorded by founders Steve Sherlock and Parry Gripp with long-time members Ben Pringle and Linus Dotson. It will be available on vinyl at the shows. -------------------------- RIDEL HIGH -from Los Angeles, CA -An LA-based alt pop band formed in 1995 by Kevin Ridel, Steve LeRoy and Steve Coulter. They released one full-length album...twice—first as Hi-Scores for My Records (1997) and later as Emotional Rollercoaster for A&M Records (1998). Ridel and Coulter still occasionally perform as Ridel High with talented pals including Marko DeSantis (Sugarcult), Justin Fisher (Psoma, former Nerf Herder), and Jose Galvez (Ozma).
