Born in Moscow’s underground rock scene in 1988 and now calling Brooklyn home, Nogu Svelo! has spent more than three decades building a fiercely original musical universe of its own. Known for their explosive live shows, sharp wit, theatrical energy, and refusal to fit into any stylistic mold, the band became one of the most recognizable and unconventional acts to emerge from the post-Soviet rock scene. In recent years, frontman Max Pokrovskiy became an outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin’s regime and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, leading to the band being banned from performing in Russia. Today, Nogu Svelo! continues touring internationally with an American lineup, performing both classic songs and new English-language material. After completing multiple world tours across Europe, North and South America, and Asia, the band has also raised over $100,000 for humanitarian aid for Ukraine through concerts and special events.
