Plummet

Plummet’s emotionally direct sound draws as much from ambient music and noise as it does from more familiar forms of alternative rock. Based in Oakland, the trio of Jon Wilcox (vocals/guitar), Alex Liebman-Peláez (drums) and Luc Le Pottier (bass) communicates intensity through minimal arrangements, duration, and dynamics. Their debut record, No Offering, finds autobiographical songs of memory and struggle submerged in extended drones and reverberant space.
