The Big Five: Wildfire Preparedness Planning Meeting

Planning meeting for district and school leaders to implement 2026–27 wildfire response, communication, and evacuation requirements. The Big Five: Wildfire Preparedness Planning Meeting July 31, 2026 - 11:00am - 1:00pm In-person only Audience: School Site Administrators and District Leaders in High/Very High Fire Severity Zones, Law Enforcement and Fire Protection Agencies. Lunch Served This meeting is for those district and school site leaders who support schools within the High or Very High Fire Hazard Severity Index Zones. This meeting will review the New Wildfire Response Protocol for Schools, Decision Making Guide and Communication and Evacuation Plan. These are new requirements for 2026-2027 for several schools within San Mateo County. This meeting will provide school sites and districts time to develop out their plan using the new Big Five Documents. School sites/Districts are welcome to bring a small team. Questions?
