Volunteer your time with Grassroots Ecology to help increase biodiversity in Palo Alto!
About this Event
Volunteer with Grassroots Ecology to support the expansive oak woodlands and grasslands at Pearson-Arastradero Preserve. These ecosystems are home to an abundance of wildlife, including deer, bobcats, coyotes, many species of birds and insects, and more! During our time together, volunteers will remove invasive plants from restoration areas using hand tools, bucket water native plants, and sheet mulch areas to suppress weeds. Activities may involve lifting, bending, and walking on flat and uneven terrain.
Visit Grassroots Ecology’s Pearson-Arastradero Preserve webpage to learn more about the ecosystem and accessibility considerations.
