Jack West is a singular guitarist who released six acclaimed albums between 1994 and 2003 while performing regularly at SXSW, Atlanta Jazz Festival, and Yoshi’s in Oakland. After more than a decade off the radar, during which time he focused on inventing new musical instruments and solar technologies, he is back with two new albums. Characterized by an uncommon rhythmic sense, exploratory slide guitar, and a uniquely grooving percussive style, West’s playing is rooted in American folk, jazz, funk, and rock. For this performance, he is joined by California guitar wizard Walter Strauss.
