Tech Workshop: Media, Information and AI Literacy

Discover how to navigate today’s complex information landscape with greater confidence. This engaging workshop for adults will explore media, information, and AI literacy, including how to evaluate what you see online, recognize misinformation and manipulated content, and better understand how emerging AI tools are shaping the way information is created and shared. Participants will also discuss practical digital safety habits, how AI can be used both helpfully and misleadingly, and ways to become a more informed and thoughtful consumer and creator of online content. Topics covered will include: Understanding today’s media and AI landscape Recognizing misinformation and manipulated content AI-generated scams and online fraud awareness Practical digital safety habits How to thoughtfully use AI tools rather than fear them Expect real-world examples, discussion, and time for questions.
